Useful information

How to use

1 - Cleanse Your Face: Start with a freshly cleansed, makeup-free face.

2 - Serum: Apply a thin layer of your favourite serum across your face and neck. EMS is less effective on dry skin, so ensure your skin stays hydrated.

3 - Select a Light Mode: Using the DermaGlow remote, choose the LED mode that best suits your skin needs.

You can also adjust brightness (LED intensity), microcurrent strength and treatment time.

4 - Secure the Mask: Position the mask over your face and neck and adjust both pieces for a comfortable fit.

5 - Begin the Session: Press the power button to start your treatment - we recommend starting with 10 minute treatments for the first week.

Increase treatment time gradually after this if you are comfortable and if you would like to accelerate the overall process. Treatment time goes up to 30 minutes.

6 - Relax: Sit back and let the mask work - it will automatically turn off once the self-timed treatment is complete.

7 - Finish Up: Remove the mask and continue with your regular skincare routine.

For best results, finish your skincare routine and moisturiser after treatment.

How often to use

For best results, our in-house dermatologists recommend using the DermaGlow 3–5 times per week.

We recommend everyone, even regular LED and EMS users, follow these recommendations. Very few masks combine LED and EMS, so it is advised to start slow, both technologies are powerful and can take getting used to.

In your first week, begin with 5-minute sessions, 3 times a week. This allows your skin to adjust to the LED and EMS technology.

If your skin responds well, you can increase usage to 4–5 times per week. You may also gradually extend treatment time up to 15 minutes per session.

If you are somebody with very sensitive skin - or you have concerns like perimenopausal eczema, rosacea or TSW, then we advise starting with sessions as short as two minutes. Just until you feel your skin barrier stabilising as it gets used to the DermaGlow.

Everyone’s skin is different. If you experience any sensitivity, take a short break and reduce session length or frequency.

Regular use delivers the best long-term results. Aim to use the DermaGlow consistently as part of your weekly skincare routine.

Description

Light up your skincare routine with the new and improved Version 2 Acid Eclipse™ DermaGlow LED & EMS Mask; a clinically proven method to reduce signs of ageing on the face and neck, from home.

192 LEDs emit the five most clinically recognised wavelengths for anti-ageing and improved skin tone (red, deep infrared, green, white and blue light), as well as two combo modes that combine two wavelengths at a time, penetrating up to 10mm into the skin.

Discover seven treatments inspired by dermatologists for tested & proven results at home that target a range of concerns, including: wrinkles, fine lines, sagging or loose skin, peri/menopausal rosacea and eczema, sensitive skin caused by topical steroid withdrawal (TSW).

Every treatment is designed to help you achieve healthier, more radiant skin.

The Acid Eclipse™ DermaGlow at-home experience:

Seven targeted LED treatments:
Choose from 7 precisely calibrated LED colour modes, including red/deep infrared, that address your specific skin concerns – whether you’re looking to boost collagen production, smooth fine lines, or reduce uneven skin tone.

Seven microcurrents rods:
The microcurrent rods provide EMS (electronic muscle stimulation) for an instant skin tightening and firming effect. The rods stimulate and contract your facial muscles. This process tones and strengthens the muscles, resulting in lifted, firmer and visibly healthier skin over time.

Skin-soothing LED modes for sensitive conditions:
The Dermaglow includes specialised LED colours—such as green, white, and yellow—clinically associated with calming inflammation and supporting skin regeneration. These settings can be used to help soothe common skin sensitivities, including rosacea, eczema, and topical steroid withdrawal (TSW).

Reliable & Powerful Performance: Enjoy consistent, uninterrupted treatments with a plug-in design that ensures maximum power output for optimal results. No need to worry about charging - simply plug in and enjoy professional-grade LED therapy whenever you need it.

Effortless operation:
With a simply designed remote control you can easily adjust treatment time, brightness, the LED colour setting and the intensity of the seven microcurrent rods; allowing a fully customisable treatment based on your own personal skincare needs.

Experience the confidence that comes with visibly smoother, brighter, and rejuvenated skin, all from the comfort of your home.

Treatments are completely painless and take 10 - 20 minutes on average.

"Seriously impressed! I haven't read many reviews highlighting the benefits of the neck piece, I've been self conscious of my sagging skin below my chin for years and to have that almost entirely fixed in less than 3 months is honestly incredible to me. I was so sceptical and I would have paid any amount of money to get some firmness back, it feels a bit ridiculous to me that this is all it took. I use my dermaglow 5 days a week and i will be forever at this rate. Incredible, 10/10"

Martha R

“Right, I wasn’t expecting this at all if I’m honest. I have perimenopausal rosacea and eczema. My eczema usually just stays around my eyes and gets really sore and irritated, especially on cold windy days. The photo on the left has been my face for the last three years, the photo on the right is yesterday, after 13 weeks of using the DermaGlow. My eczema is completely gone and my rosacea is probably 80% better. For anyone in the same boat, I use it 6 days a week and I alternate between green light for rosacea and white light for the eczema.”

Joanne T

"A friend of mine bought the Omnilux at the same time as I got Dermaglow. We're both in our mid (to late) 50's with similar skin goals, improving cheek and under eye firmness and smoothing out wrinkles - and my turkey neck. I use red light mode most days, and after nearly 11 weeks, we're both really pleased with how much firmer and smoother our skin looks. I’ve had equally good results with this mask, and considering mine was half the price, I feel like I made the right choice!"

Rosacea

Can I use LED light therapy if I have rosacea?

Yes, LED therapy can be helpful for individuals with rosacea when used correctly. The green and white light modes are particularly suited for calming the appearance of redness and reducing visible inflammation in the skin. These wavelengths help regulate overactive blood vessels and soothe the skin without causing irritation.

Which light mode should I use for rosacea symptoms?

The most beneficial light modes for rosacea are:

Green [525 nm] - Calms overactive capillaries, reduces redness, and evens out blotchy tone.

White [600 nm] - Supports skin regeneration and barrier repair, which can be beneficial for sensitive or reactive skin types.

3. Will LED therapy make rosacea worse?

When used correctly, it should not. LED therapy is non-invasive and does not generate heat, making it generally well-tolerated by rosacea-prone skin. However, those with very sensitive skin should begin with shorter sessions (5-8 minutes) and monitor their response closely. Avoid overuse and stick to lower frequencies until your skin builds tolerance.

4. How often should I use the mask for rosacea?

We recommend starting with 2-3 sessions per week on green or white light modes only. Once your skin has adjusted, you may gradually increase to 4 times per week. It’s important to space out treatments to allow your skin time to recover and respond positively.

Sensitive Skin, Eczema & TSW

Can I use the DermaGlow mask if I have very sensitive skin?

Yes, the DermaGlow mask can be safely used on sensitive skin, provided it’s introduced gradually. LED light therapy is non-invasive and does not rely on heat or abrasion, making it suitable for many individuals with reactive or delicate skin. We advise starting with shorter sessions (5 minutes) on the gentler light modes, such as white or green, and increasing only as tolerated.

Is LED therapy safe for eczema?

Yes, certain light wavelengths have been shown to support barrier repair and reduce inflammation associated with eczema. The white light mode (600 nm) is especially helpful - it promotes tissue regeneration and soothes irritation without triggering flare-ups. For many eczema sufferers, LED therapy offers a calming, non-chemical option to support the skin's healing process.

I’m going through TSW. Can I use this mask safely?

During Topical Steroid Withdrawal, the skin is often highly fragile, inflamed, and reactive. In our experience, some users in the later stages of TSW benefit from red/ deep infrared light (around 640 - 780 nm) to support healing, but caution is essential. If your skin is flaking, raw, or burning, it's best to avoid light therapy until things are more stable. Once the skin has settled slightly, brief sessions (3–5 minutes) of red or white light may be gently reintroduced. Always patch test first and discontinue if irritation worsens.

Should I use moisturiser or serum before using the mask on sensitive skin?

A very light moisturiser or hydrating serum is fine to use beforehand and may actually help reduce sensitivity, particularly if you’re using the EMS function. However, we advise avoiding actives like retinol*, acids, or vitamin C before use if your skin is reactive. Always patch test any product in conjunction with LED therapy first.

Note* Retinol is a great ingredient to apply after your treatment, especially if you have sensitive skin as it stimulates the production of new collagen.

Wrinkles & Sagging

Which light modes help with wrinkles and sagging skin?

The red/deep infrared light mode (640–780 nm) is the most effective for targeting wrinkles and skin laxity. These wavelengths reach the deeper layers of the skin, where they stimulate fibroblasts - the cells that produce collagen and elastin, which are responsible for maintaining skin firmness, smoothness, and structure. Over time, this can help reduce wrinkle depth, lift sagging areas, and improve overall skin density.

The yellow light mode (590 nm) can also support ageing skin by boosting circulation and cellular renewal, which helps brighten dull areas and improve skin tone - often a concern alongside wrinkles and loss of firmness. Used together on alternating days, these modes can provide a well-rounded approach to visible skin ageing.

How does EMS help with sagging skin?

EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) works by gently contracting the underlying facial muscles, particularly in the jawline, cheek, and neck areas. Over time, this improves muscle tone, contributing to a lifted and firmer appearance, especially where volume has been lost with age. When combined with LED therapy, it addresses both the structural and surface-level signs of ageing.

Am I too old to benefit from this if I’m over 50 or 60?

Absolutely not. LED and EMS technologies support natural biological processes, which continue to function into later decades - though at a slower rate. While results may take longer compared to younger users, consistent use still leads to measurable improvements in firmness, definition, and overall skin health. In fact, many users over 65 report visible softening of deep lines and increased skin health over time.

How soon can I expect results for firmness and wrinkles?

Initial improvements in skin texture and hydration may be noticeable within 2-4 weeks. However, meaningful changes in collagen and elastin levels - such as reduced wrinkles and firmer skin - typically become more visible after 6–8 weeks of consistent use, ideally 3–5 sessions per week. Long-term use is key, as collagen and elastin rebuilding is gradual.

EMS & Microcurrent

What is EMS and how does it work?

EMS stands for Electrical Muscle Stimulation. It delivers low-level electrical currents through the skin to gently contract the underlying facial muscles, much like how your body naturally moves them. Over time, these microcontractions can help tone and lift facial contours, especially around areas like the jawline, neck, cheeks, and brow. Unlike LED light, which works on the skin’s cellular structure, EMS targets the muscle layer, helping to restore firmness and definition that naturally diminish with age.

Is EMS safe for facial use?

Yes - when used correctly and as directed, low-level EMS is considered safe for use on the face. It has been widely used in both clinical and home settings for muscle toning and rehabilitation. However, individuals with certain medical conditions, such as pacemakers, epilepsy, or active facial implants, should avoid EMS. It's also advised to start on the lowest intensity setting and increase only as your skin adjusts to the sensation.

Do I have to use the metal probes for EMS to work?

The metal rods (or microcurrent probes) are essential for EMS to deliver current to the facial muscles. However, they can be adjusted or partially removed if they feel uncomfortable — and the intensity can always be lowered. Some users prefer to use EMS in shorter sessions or gradually build up their tolerance. For those with very sensitive skin or who are new to microcurrent, it's completely fine to focus on LED therapy alone at first and introduce EMS later.

Can EMS replace professional treatments like facelifts?

While EMS cannot replicate the results of surgical procedures, regular at-home EMS use can provide a noticeable improvement in muscle tone and facial firmness, especially when paired with LED therapy. It’s particularly effective for early to moderate signs of ageing, and can also be a supportive treatment for maintaining results after professional procedures.

Does it hurt?

No, EMS does not hurt, thankfully! The electrical currents used are very low-level and typically feel like a gentle tingling or light pulsing sensation. Many users have said they don't feel them at all, or only notice some sensation in one or two areas (this is likely due to thinner skin in these areas). While some may notice the stimulation more than others, it should never feel sharp or painful. If it does, it’s advisable to reduce the intensity or adjust the positioning of the probes for comfort.

Skincare Products

Do I need to apply anything to my skin before using the mask?

You don’t have to, but applying a light, water-based serum or gel (such as hyaluronic acid) before treatment can help improve conductivity if you're using the EMS function. For LED-only use, it's fine to apply the mask to freshly cleansed skin. Avoid oil based products beforehand, as these can block the light from penetrating the skin.

Can I use the mask on top of moisturiser or SPF?

It’s best to avoid using the mask over SPF or heavy moisturisers, as these can interfere with light penetration. For optimal results, use the mask on clean, dry skin or over a hydrating serum that absorbs well.

Should I adjust my skincare routine on the days I use the mask?

Not necessarily, but it’s wise to simplify your routine on treatment days, especially if your skin is sensitive. Avoid exfoliants (like acids or retinoids) immediately before using the mask, as the light can increase absorption and may lead to irritation. These actives can still be used after the treatment however.

What should I apply after using the mask?

After your session, your skin will be more receptive to skincare. This is a good time to apply a nourishing serum, moisturiser, or barrier-repair product. If using in the morning, follow with SPF as the final step.

How Often To Use

How many times a week should I use the DermaGlow mask?

For most people, using the DermaGlow 3-5 times per week for 10-15 minutes per session is ideal to see visible improvements in firmness, fine lines, and skin tone over time.

If you’re new to LED therapy or have sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin, we recommend a slower introduction:

  • Start with 2–3 times per week, doing just 2-6 minutes per session.
  • Begin with a single light mode that suits your concern (e.g. red for ageing or green for inflammation).
  • As your skin adapts and if there are no signs of overstimulation (redness, irritation, or tingling), gradually increase to the full 10–15 minutes.
  • After 3-4 weeks, most people can increase their frequency up to 4–5 sessions per week as tolerated.

Taking a “less is more” approach initially helps ensure your skin responds well and builds resilience to light-based stimulation over time.

Can I use it every day for faster results?

We don’t advise daily use. The LEDs in the DermaGlow are medical-grade and powerful, and overuse can overstimulate the skin or lead to unnecessary inflammation - especially in those with sensitive or reactive skin. Instead, focus on consistency over intensity. For those addressing more advanced concerns (like significant laxity or post-procedure healing), up to 5 sessions weekly is beneficial, but rest days are still important.

Can I use multiple light modes in one session?

We recommend focusing on one light mode per session, especially when you're targeting a specific concern (such as red for collagen support or green for inflammation or rosacea). Using all, or multiple, modes together via colour cycling is available, but should be seen as a lighter alternative - not an addition to a full targeted session. Research studies, and feedback from DermaGlow users, indicates that using one light mode for an entire session, as opposed to a colour cycle, is more effective in improving specific skin concerns.

Avoid doing back-to-back treatments. Stick to one session per day max, even when alternating colours. The real progress happens between sessions, when the skin has time to rest, repair, and respond to the stimulation.

What To Expect

How quickly will I see results?

Results vary depending on age, skin condition, and consistency of use. Many users notice an immediate post-treatment glow and a slight tightening sensation after the first few sessions. However, meaningful changes to fine lines, texture, firmness, and tone typically begin to show after 3–4 weeks of consistent use, with more significant improvements visible after 8–12 weeks.

Will I purge or breakout?

It’s uncommon, but some users may experience mild, temporary purging in the first week or two of use - especially if they have congested skin or are using blue, green, or white light modes. This is typically short-lived and due to increased cellular turnover and detoxification. If you’re concerned, begin with shorter sessions (5–7 minutes) every other day and monitor how your skin responds.

Does the skin feel different afterwards?

Yes. Some users report a slight warmth or tingling sensation during or shortly after treatment, especially if EMS is also activated. This is normal and usually subsides within 15–30 minutes. After a session, the skin often feels smoother, firmer, and more hydrated, especially when used alongside a hydrating serum.

Medical Precautions

Is it safe to use if I have a history of skin cancer or atypical moles?

If you have a personal or family history of skin cancer, or if you have atypical or rapidly changing moles, it’s best to consult with your dermatologist before using LED therapy. While LED light therapy does not contain UV radiation and is generally considered safe, its effects on individuals with a predisposition to skin cancer have not been fully established. Caution and individual medical advice are essential in these cases.

Can I use the Dermaglow if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

LED light therapy is considered low-risk, but there’s limited data on its safety during pregnancy or breastfeeding. For this reason, we recommend speaking with your GP or midwife before starting treatment if you are pregnant or nursing.

Is it safe to use on broken skin, eczema, or psoriasis?

The Dermaglow should not be used over open wounds or severely broken skin. However, certain light modes - particularly white and red - may help support the healing process once the skin is intact. If you have active eczema or psoriasis, begin with caution. Use shorter sessions on a low intensity and avoid EMS until the skin is calm. Always monitor your skin’s reaction closely and discontinue use if irritation worsens.

Can I use the device if I have fillers or other cosmetic treatments?

Yes, but timing is important. Avoid using the mask for at least 10–14 days after receiving injectable treatments. EMS in particular should not be used directly over recent filler sites for 2–3 weeks. If in doubt, check with your practitioner for personalised advice.

Comfort & Fit

The mask feels heavy or presses on my nose/forehead - what can I do?

The DermaGlow is made with medical-grade materials to house high-intensity LEDs and EMS components, so some users may find it slightly weighty at first. To improve comfort, we recommend adjusting the strap tension to relieve pressure on sensitive areas. Adding a thin cotton pad or soft tissue at pressure points (like the bridge of the nose or forehead) can also help distribute weight more evenly. As with any facial device, it may take a few sessions to get used to the fit.

Do I have to use the EMS (metal) rods?

No, the EMS rods are optional. They are included to stimulate facial muscles, but the LED treatment is effective on its own. If you find the EMS sensation uncomfortable, you can remove some or all of the rods or reduce the EMS intensity on your remote. Many users build up tolerance over time - starting at the lowest setting is a good approach.

The EMS feels too strong or I don’t feel it at all - is that normal?

Yes, that’s completely normal. EMS sensations can vary depending on the area of the face and the thickness of the skin. Some users feel a gentle pulsing or twitching, while others may feel very little or no sensation at all in certain areas - especially where the skin is thicker. If the sensation feels too strong, simply reduce the intensity or remove one or more rods. If you don’t feel much, or you don't feel anything, don't be concerned, so long as the rods are in contact with the skin the EMS is working. The EMS is designed to work subtly over time, so even if the sensation is minimal, the stimulation is still effective.

I bought the dermaglow mask and the snail 92 cream together, and I’m so glad I did! The mask is a great way to start any skincare routine and my redness and rough skin is definitely improving after only three weeks. The snail cream is the most hydrating moisturiser i've ever come across and it's perfect after 15 minutes wearing the mask. Delivery was prompt, will definitely be ordering again!

Delivery took about 9 days, not the advertised 4-7, customer service was very good however. I love the mask though, I've been using it a little over two months and I'm definitely noticing some improvements in my skin tone as my rosacea is less severe than it has been in years which can't be a coincidence!

I mostly use the red and near-infrared lights, and my skin feels noticeably firmer. The mask is lightweight, and the straps hold it in place well.I was worried it might feel too intense, but it’s actually really soothing. I’m totally hooked now!

I bought the currentbody mask and it just stopped working after 2 months. I was quite upset by this as it cost me a fortune. I found the DermaGlow and took the plunge as the reviews are great. I've been using it for three months and it's lived up to the hype. I have wrinkles and bad eczema so being able to use different lights has been wonderful. My eczema is the best it's been in years and the EMS function has really lifted my jowls. It was half the price of the currentbody too!

There was a small mix-up with my order, and I received the wrong product at first. I contacted customer service, and they sorted it out immediately, sending out the right item with next-day delivery. Mistakes happen, but their quick response and professionalism really stood out

FAQ

Our in-house dermatologists have answered your most common questions.

Collapsible content

How does light therapy work?

LED light therapy uses different wavelengths of light to target specific skin concerns. Red and Infrared light (640nm - 780nm) stimulates collagen and helps reduce fine lines, blue light (470nm) combats breakouts by targeting bacteria, and green light (520nm) helps even out skin tone. The Acid Eclipse™ DermaGlow LED & EMS Mask features seven light modes, including the incredibly popular deep infrared wavelength that is responsible for many anti-ageing benefits, to address a range of concerns, all without the need for invasive treatments.

How often should I use the mask?

For best results, use the mask 5–7 times per week. Consistency is key, and most users start seeing noticeable improvements in their skin within a few weeks.

Do the microcurrent rods pulse?

No, the EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) microcurrent rods on the Dermaglow mask do not pulse or move. They remain still throughout your session. You may feel a gentle tingle or slight sensation from one or more of the rods from time to time. However, in most cases you will feel nothing at all. Even without any noticeable sensation, the EMS technology is still working beneath the surface to support facial tone and stimulate the skin at a cellular level. Just sit back and enjoy your treatment.

Is LED light therapy safe?

Yes, LED light therapy is a non-invasive and clinically studied treatment with no known downtime or side effects. The DermaGlow is designed to be gentle on the skin and is suitable for all skin tones and types.

What if I have sensitive skin?

Not a problem! LED therapy is well-tolerated by most skin types, and can be very beneficial for users with sensitive skin. Always start with a sensitivity test before going fully into regular treatments with your new mask and if you have any concerns, start with shorter sessions on a light mode with a lower nm level - and gradually increase the usage time and intensity.

When will I see results?

Many users notice an improvement in their skin’s brightness and texture after just a few uses. Fine lines, breakouts, and uneven tone typically show visible improvement after 4–8 weeks of consistent use. Many users also see immediate improvements in skin firmness and the lift beneath sagging skin, due to the EMS microcurrent rods spread across the mask.

Does it replace skincare products?

No, but it enhances their effectiveness. LED light therapy improves product absorption, so applying serums, toners, and moisturisers after your session can help maximise results - many users have noticed needing less products in their skincare routine since using the mask regularly.*

*Serums, toners, and moisturisers should be applied post-treatment.

Is the mask wireless?

No, this mask is not wireless—it requires plug-in power to operate.

Unlike rechargeable masks, which can lose power over time, a plug-in design ensures consistent, even energy distribution throughout your treatment. This means the LEDs maintain maximum strength and effectiveness for every session, delivering optimal results without interruptions. Plus, you never have to worry about recharging - just plug in and enjoy professional-grade LED therapy anytime.

Can I use it if I have breakouts?

Yes, the blue light mode is specifically designed to target acne-causing bacteria, helping to reduce breakouts and prevent new ones from forming. Many users with acne-prone skin see clearer skin within 4 weeks with regular use.

Does it hurt?

No, the mask should not cause any pain and does not emit heat. Unlike some other treatments, LED light therapy works by delivering beneficial wavelengths of light without causing discomfort or irritation.

Can it compare to pricier masks?

The Acid Eclipse™ DermaGlow LED & EMS Mask delivers the same clinically studied light therapy used in high-end devices but at a more affordable price. It features 192 medical grade LEDs and multiple modes to suit different skin concerns, providing professional-level treatments in the comfort of your home.

It's won multiple awards when in direct competition with many of the other leading masks on the market; there are many reasons for this but we attribute a lot of the DermaGlow's success to the close proximity of the medical grade LEDs to your skin (about 0.5 - 1cm, compared to 2 - 4cm which is the industry standard). The LEDs being closer to the skin allows deeper light penetration and therefore, more effective and faster results than most of the other masks available currently.
