Acid Eclipse - Our story
A note from our Founder, Dr. Emmanuelle Corey
For over 23 years, I worked behind the scenes in the skincare and beauty industries, consulting for luxury brands that charged premium prices for scientifically effective products. While these formulations delivered results, they remained out of reach for most women. I saw first hand how great skincare was being treated as an exclusive luxury rather than an accessible necessity.
That’s why, in August 2017, I created Acid Eclipse - to bridge that gap. Using my expertise and industry connections, I set out to curate a range of scientifically backed skincare products. Products that are both high-performing and fairly priced.
My goal is simple: to make skincare effortless for women with mature skin who want real results without the inflated price tags. With Acid Eclipse, you’ll only find formulas that have been proven (under scientific conditions) to actually do what they say they do - because skincare should be about science, not status.

The story behind the name
The name Acid Eclipse wasn’t just chosen at random—it represents science (more science talk, sorry!) and a defining moment in our journey. The word “acid” comes from the powerful, skin-rejuvenating ingredients found in many of the best skincare formulations. From hyaluronic acid to glycolic acid to salicylic acid, these compounds are at the heart of what makes many of our products so effective.
The “eclipse” part of the name has a special significance. In August 2017, as Acid Eclipse was coming to life, I was in the U.S. meeting with skincare manufacturers, when a total solar eclipse occurred - those keen astronomers amongst you may remember the pictures on the news! Watching the sky darken in the middle of the day was an unforgettable moment, one that symbolized transformation and new beginnings.
The name Acid Eclipse wasn't even my idea, it was my son Hector's, but it stuck and here we are years later!
